Valkyrie's mobile began ringing in her pocket, and she squirmed it out into her hand with some difficulty. The number wasn't one she recognized, so she gave her mother one last squeeze and forced herself up to answer it quietly in the corner, just in case it turned out to be someone she didn't really want her parents to know about.
