It was such an unexpected but Skulduggery question that Gabriel laughed and didn't even care at the brief extra spike of pain in his temples. The bemusement and question in Skul's voice, and the gentle delight Gabe got from it, was enough to wash away the lingering sensation of dirtiness the Archangel had been feeling from the Scream, and that was appreciated.

He turned on his heel, hopping backwards up the stairs step-by-step without even a bat of an eyelid, let alone a falter. "Yep, that they did, pardner."
