"If you died tonight, yep," Gabe said with a smile, dropping even the facsimile of the non-existent tea-bag and spooning some sugar into his mug. "'Course, things like that can change--but in your case, I really doubt it will." Of course, Lucifer had surprised him frequently in the past, but often there was just something about the turn of a soul which could tell a lot. Barring a great many outside influences come to bear on Finbar's life, Gabe was confident where he'd end up.
But, really, it was people like Skul who were more troublesome. The ones who believed they were damned when they weren't.
The Archangel's smile turned slightly grim as he picked up his tea and took a sip. (It wasn't as if he needed to wait for it to cool.) "It wasn't as easy as that, I'm afraid. He had a way to force people into human forms, with only a fragment of their powers--if they had any at all. It was all something of an illusion, of course, like Skul's face right now is an illusion. Solid enough to give us trouble, but in the end ..." He shrugged. "Only an illusion. We weren't even the only ones there, but we all managed to escape eventually."
