"Of course I do," Corrival said promptly, and then squinted suspiciously at the tailor. "Tell me you're just making a professional visit to check up on some of my older suits, Bespoke."

He wasn't. Of course he wasn't. Ghastly knew that Corrival didn't like to be interrupted in his retirement; of all people, Ghastly knew that. Ghastly, after all, didn't like to be interrupted in his tailoring, and yet had still wound up being trapped as a statue for over a year because Skulduggery had needed to save the world again.

With a sigh Corrival turned and walked back down the doorway into the sitting-room, but he left the door open for Ghastly to follow. "What do you need, Ghastly?" he asked, resigned, as he set his glass down on the timbre bar and reached for another to pour his friend and former subordinate that requested drink. "If you want me to run interference with the Sanctuary while you and Valkyrie Cain re-open the portal to the dimension of the Faceless Ones, I'm going to need a lot more than just a few new suits."

Because if that's why Ghastly was here, Corrival wasn't going to say no. He'd been grateful the man hadn't come to him beforehand, even though he knew Ghastly wouldn't for precisely the reasons why he didn't, but he wasn't going to say no. Part of Corrival hoped there was another reason why Ghastly was there, but given his introduction, Corrival wasn't holding out much in the way of hope.
