Gabriel blinked in turn, because somehow it had never occurred to him that this might be a difficult thing to understand. Then again, he didn't usually talk about it except with people who had already come Home, and that generally meant they had already adjusted. "It depends on what we've been doing, or how long it's been since we've spoken. Sometimes we talk about what my siblings have been up to, or the fishing, or if we've just been to a theme-park, we'll talk about that. This time we talked about Landel's, and caught up on some other things since we'd last seen each other."
Coffee sometimes happened, though this time it had been cocktails at a beach-side bar. As the Creator had said, Gabe had looked like he'd needed it. (Not that the Archangel had noticed any difference, really, but he hadn't had any objection.) "We don't always talk, though," the Archangel added, as if this was going to make it easier for Skulduggery to adjust. "Well, we always talk, but often we just play a hand of cards or feed the birds, or watch the sunsets, instead of going anywhere in particular."
