"Oh, probably eventually," Gabe said cheerfully, patting the pocket where he'd just stowed the coin picked up before he got in the car. It would be a lie to say he wasn't watching Skul sidelong as the skeleton got used to this skin. It would certainly feel different, but the detective's tentativeness was oddly endearing.

That, and how worried he was over his car.

"But not yet, obviously. It wouldn't be a surprise if I did that." He grinned without even trying to restrain the twinkle in his eyes. Then he shrugged, as if to dismiss the tease--but it still didn't make the twinkle fade. "Besides, how else am I going to be self-sufficient? We don't really have bank accounts, and churches need their offerings for other things. There's a surprising amount of spare change in the country, you know."

The beach was that odd combination of secluded and not. It was surprisingly near by Dublin, but far enough that while there, it felt like it was a whole different world. So it didn't take long before the main road began to hit parts of the city, or the skyscrapers to start showing up in the distance.

Gabe blinked and squinted. There seemed to be something of a coloured tinge in the air today. At least, that's what he hoped it was.
