"But unlike you, little bro," Rafe said with a tug of the younger Archangel's hair, "I'm used to pain. I've never had to really test my limits before. Now I've got the chance, a bit of judicious experimentation's in the cards. This way I'll know how far I can push for the next time." He shrugged. "Better me findin' out now I'm actually in a universe than later, when I might not be." Then he grinned. "'Course, I'm not about to deprive Kenspeckle of the chance to have fun yellin' at me."
