impudentsongbird: (that he brings)

The Archangel laughed quietly, grinning and nodding ruefully. It had been a nice hat, but then again, it wasn't a Ghastly-made hat. He could wait.

This was hard on Myron. Gabe knew that, accepted it. Of course it was. He'd been forced to destroy his own hearing. It would be completely understandable if that had broken him--awful, tragic, especially with what might have happened to him afterward, but entirely understandable. Gabe's expression was understanding and sympathetic, and not pitying in the least.

Unfortunately Gabe, in this instance, had the distinction of being the slave-driver, and Skulduggery the comfort. He smiled as Myron let them in, and nodded his appreciation for a drink, but then signed, 'I can do some shopping for you?'

Some words he was having to spell out, but 'shopping' was one he'd used during their last visit, when the Archangels had done some easy chores for the man. There was no need for him to push himself, but maybe, after a few days to adjust, he'd like to do his own shopping later. It would be good for him, if so. If not, Gabe was perfectly willing.
