"Right," Kelly said, "because you'd totally be down here helping us if you weren't pursuing a suspect or anything like that." She'd told him to leash his sarcasm. She'd never said anything about leashing her own.

But she didn't leash her appreciation, either. And her gaze as she approached the Bentley was very definitely appreciative. "R-Type?" she asked wistfully, touching the bonnet. "Standard or Continental? Does she have a name? A car like this has gotta have a name."

She might even have to forgive him for being a government agent for this car. Government agents were all work and no play. Most of them wouldn't dream or dare to have a car like this. Too frivolous, too old, too many excuses to not. Whatever he was and whatever his job, Dillon was a man of taste. Good thing, too, or she might have had to knock his head against a wall at some point or another.
