"Not right now, but he'll be okay after a while," Gabe assured Skulduggery. He'd been standing by quietly, one hand on Skulduggery's shoulder, to let his presence be the solid rock Skulduggery needed. It wasn't a quick fix--he couldn't simply change things in Skulduggery to take the struggle away. They both knew it. But it helped.

He wished he hadn't left to see to Des and Myron when it became clear someone had attacked Corrival. If Gabe had been there ... the Archangel shook the thought off.

"He's magically exhausted," he said. "Either one of those fights were tiring for someone as new to his magic as he is, and he had both in quick succession. He'd going to need a lot of sleep very soon, but other than that he should be fine." As far as Gabe's limited understanding of healing went. The sorcerer's shattered wrist wasn't nearly so well-off, and the stigmata might give him a bit of trouble until he could renew his wards.

Gabe glanced to where Corrival was still cradling Solomon, keeping him upright and holding the man's bad arm so it couldn't be jarred. Solomon trembled with sheer exhaustion, his eyes closed; Gabe was fairly sure he wasn't really aware of the details around him. He was more cognizant than he had been, though. Panic was not a good combination with the magic he wielded now, not with his blindness as well.

The healers had arrived. Corrival flagged one down and they spoke rapidly, and then Corrival looked at Gabe. Gabe read his question and shook his head; Corrival nodded and glanced toward Erskine. "Ravel, call in Fletcher and tell him we need him on emergency services. Have him bring Professor Grouse here. I don't want Wreath leaving the Sanctuary, but he and Tanith will need his expertise. After that, have Renn go get China and however many of her students she thinks is capable of handling the Sanctuary wards."

Gabe looked at Skulduggery, looking him evenly but firmly in the eyes. "I can have everything ready inside of three days. If you want it."
