Something Gabriel had said? Ghastly ran back through the rescue in his head, but he could barely remember most of what physically happened, let alone what was said. It had all happened so quickly, so efficiently. Gabe had been leaning on Skul, sure - Ghastly assumed because of the sudden strain - but for Guild to perceive any more than that... Skulduggery was right, and Ghastly almost found himself wondering what sort of home life the Grand Mage enjoyed. Or didn't enjoy, as the case may be. Now Ghastly was mildly curious about what Guild's reaction to Gabriel's true identity would be.
Fletcher had been slack-jawed with amazement until the Archangel spoke directly to him. He jumped, something of a sheepish look in his eye, and quickly nodded. "Sure. Yeah."
That was a miracle in and of itself, Fletcher eager to continue lessons of any kind. Ghastly didn't know whether that was because the teenager needed the distraction, or because he'd become genuinely interested in the car; either way, it was good he was going to make himself useful. With Skulduggery still finishing up his phone call, Ghastly turned back to Tanith and Valkyrie.
"Are you two done?" he asked with a smile. They still hadn't stopped laughing.
