Fletcher avoided thinking about a lot of things, but his position in the group, his uncertainty about the detective's return--it was almost obvious because of that deliberate aversion.
"Do you ever get lonely?" he asked gently, working easily but still able to maintain eye-contact, still able to ensure that Fletcher knew he had Gabe's attention. "Being the last Teleporter?"
