"Whatever I want," Gabriel agreed, shifting to give Fletcher more of a view in case the young man wanted to ask any questions about what he was doing. He laughed. "Actually, I've held this form for aeons. I'm still not sure whether Darren's appearance is a matter of coincidence or if my Master feeling particularly impish that day."
They didn't look exactly alike, though. Darren was paler, for one. Still, the similarities were more than enough that being mistaken for the actor wasn't something Gabe was surprised by. He had, in fact, been mistaken for him before while on the street. Only once or twice, true, but still.
The Archangel smiled at Fletcher. "A lot of the time I'm trying to stay incognito. That means animal forms, rather than a human one. They offer different perspective and different methods of blending in, and make it easier to hide from my fallen siblings. Otherwise, I just stay invisible, unless I want to interact directly with people. It's easier to keep an eye on them that way."
