Modernity has a very odd fascination with complicating the things which don't need to be complicated and simplifying the things which oughtn't be; this is one of them."
He worked his way along the branch. The doorknob sigil was the only one that would be visible when he was done, but right now they could all be seen, and would remain so until he'd locked the wards in place. When he was finished he'd have to go ward the original tree to make it look like the entrance was still there.
"I've never really thought about favourites before," the Archangel admitted. "I enjoy the butterfly, though. No one ever looks at butterflies except in joy, and their method of flight is very fun. Rabbits are pretty fun too. There aren't many animals with that kind of speed and precision." Then Gabe looked thoughtful, pausing to look at Fletcher. "And you know, I don't know. Dinosaurs were before my time, and I've never had the need to try. My Master showed me memories, though. I wonder ..."
