"'Course, li'l lady," Gabe drawled, drawing down the brim of his hat and grinning at her from under it. "Why wouldn't I?" He had been teasing, but the comment wasn't a lie. He did want to meet Valkyrie's parents. He did want to know about her home life. He did want to see her with them, because she was there so little.
"I could help Skul with his disguise," Gabriel added, and turned to him. "It won't be real, of course, but I could make you look like your human self." Not that restoring Skul's body would be impossible either, but that would require a manipulation of his soul on a level Gabe wasn't going to suggest for a relatively minor thing.
"As for what you'll tell them." He tilted his head, regarding Valkyrie for a moment before smiling. "You won't even have to lie. Just tell them that I'm Fletcher's Gaelic tutor, and that he's part-timing driving students to school. Skul is one of your teachers."
